About me

My journey as an entrepreneur began in 2006 when I founded a marketplace for artists and musicians while studying business and economics at the European Business School, Stockholm, and Harvard University.

After my graduation in 2010, Patrick McKenna and Frederik Fleck, two successful business angels from the US and Germany, supported me in building ExpertCloud, a virtual call center. I created the fundament and scaled the company from 1 to 200 agents, serving popular B2B clients, such as, Tchibo, Sky, and Lampenwelt.

Today, I serve as the CEO of Volders - Germany's biggest legal tech. We have served over 8m customers. I founded Volders in 2014 and acquired our main competitor, Aboalarm, in 2022, and FINE Legal in 2024.

My passion lies in creating a firm's strategy, building and tweaking digital products, and finding exceptionally talented people.

In addition to my role as CEO, I enjoy supporting founders as an angel and advisor.

How I contribute

I'm an active investor, and I'm committed to providing support wherever I can add value to your business. I offer firsthand experience, having encountered all entrepreneurial challenges as a sole founder scaling from 0 up to 200 employees and bring to the table a substantial network of product experts, advisors, legal professionals, and fellow investors.

While I do enjoy a company's growth, my real interest lies in solving the tough parts: the challenges, obstacles, and setbacks that come with building a business. It is demanding, and very few can deal with the emotional and mental toll. I find fulfillment in tackling these phases.

💵 Raising a round? Please send me your pitch deck and financials. My preference are early-stage companies (from idea to Series B). You can contact me via LinkedIn, or send an email to jan@ansink.capital.
